Real Moments | Shoshanah + Rachel

Nestled into the pastures and hillsides of Clarksville, Missouri, Overlook Farm was the perfect backdrop for Shoshanah + Rachel’s celebration. Their wedding was filled with stunning details and magical moments not to mention their two adorable puppies!

When talking about the day, Rachel remembers, “we wanted to have an outdoor wedding and ultimately the rain sent us inside, and now, looking back on the celebration, as much as we wanted to be outside, it ultimately had no bearing on if we considered the day a success.” Shoshanah continues, “our ceremony was supposed to be outside, under huge pine trees. It rained (read: poured!) day of, so of course, Allissa and her team created a magical indoor ceremony space where we felt like we were in a little bubble, hiding away from the storm together, in a space filled with candles, flowers, and greenery, it was incredible.”

Allissa Reimer and her team from Altar’d Events worked with the couple for over a year to ensure that every detail was in place AND most importantly, reflective of the couples’ vision. “If I could offer one piece of advice, it would be to hire a bad ass wedding planner like Allissa.” Rachel explains, “it’s key to find someone who fits your personality, makes you comfortable, and tells you the truth you need to hear.” Shoshanah agreed, “it’s invaluable to work with someone who sees the overall picture, while focusing on the minute details, and of course, holds your hand through the entire process!”

A curated tablescape set the tone for their celebration. We love the unique feel of the tables set with a mix of different glassware and the addition of gold flatware. It works together beautifully, feels playful and elegant creating the feeling of a great dinner party; warm, intimate, and inviting.

When we asked them about their favorite moments, they both had almost identical answers. “My absolute favorite moment lasted from the moment Shoshanah started walking down the aisle until the moment the ceremony ended,” Rachel remembers, adding, “the whole world fell away, it felt like just the two of us, and I was filled with more joy and peace than I knew possible. For Shoshanah she recalls standing under the chuppah and realizing that for the first time that day, she felt a true sense of peace. She adds, “everything came together, the most important people were in the room, and we reached the moment that we spent well over a year planning.”
